The Lothians Golf Association are recruiting new members to take up a position on the Executive Council.
The Association are seeking golf minded individuals to take a seat on our Executive. Importantly, the association cannot run without the help of volunteers who wish to contribute to the provision of Coaching of players at all levels of the game, the provision of high quality Championships for Amateur players at all levels of the handicap spectrum.
Your commitment would be attendance at six Bi-monthly meetings over the year, attendance and assistance at some of the tournaments, where interested attendance at Team matches. Initially you would be introduced as Members of the Executive and attached to a sub-committee with a view to becoming a committee convenor.
This year, there are certain areas within the Association we wish to recruit too, which will be finally determined once in post.
However, we are specifically looking to recruit a Finance Convenor, candidates should have a financial background and a sound knowledge of accountancy.
We also look to recruit someone with good IT skills, particularly with a working knowledge of social media and websites.
As stated, there are other positions within the association and where you fit into this can be discussed to ensure your skills are used appropriately.
These posts are voluntary, however, appropriate expenses for travel to events is provided along with an Association clothing allocation. Candidates must be a member of a Lothians Club or Affiliate club.
