The Lothians Seniors team of Steven Armstrong (Turnhouse), John Fraser (Royal Burgess GS), Ricky Moffat (Turnhouse), Gareth Pugh (Tantallon), David Thomson (Bathgate) and Scott Walker (Gullane) tied for the Scottish Seniors Area Team Championship on 359 with Renfrewshire, but lost out on a countback. Ricky Moffat had the best individual score of 68 with Steven Armstrong in a tie for second on 69 at Glasgow Gailes. Bathgate players Graham Bell and David Thomson will represent Scotland in the European Senior Championships

Congratulations to Cameron Adam (Royal Burgess GS) on being selected to play in the Walker Cup next month after representing GB & I, against the Continent of Europe where he won all of his 4 matches, and Scotland in the European Championships. Also to James Wood (Bathgate), Dominic McGlinchey (The Renaissance) and Sam Mukherjee (Gullane) for representing Scotland in the Men’s Home Internationals where they finished second to England. We should also have mentioned Cameron's win in the St Andrews Links Trophy and can now add his Top 20 performance as the only amateur in the Betfred British Masters at The Belfrey last weekend.

In the Boys Home Internationals Scotland won for the first time since 2015 with a team that included Aiden Lawson (Bruntsfield Links GS), Kai Laing (Broomieknowe), Kieran Gribble (Dunbar) and Fraser Walters (Craigielaw). Aiden, Kai and Kieran also represented Scotland in the European Boys Championships.

West Links Fidra squad won the East Lothian Junior Golf League with The Glen close behind in second place.

Turnhouse won the Edinburgh Junior Summer Golf League final against Bruntsfield Links GS in a very close match at Duddingston with Royal Burgess GS and Murrayfield also reaching the semi-finals.

Graham Bell (Bathgate) won the Carnegie Shield at Royal Dornoch with Niall Alexander (Duddingston) winning the Davidson Trophy.

Eddie Jackson (Turnhouse) won the bronze medal in the Amateur Gold Medal at Leven which went to James Donaldson (Stirling) with James White (Lundin) in second place. All 3 are in a good field of 74 players for the South East District Championship at Mortonhall this weekend.
