Lothians Men dent P&K's chances of Scottish Finals

The early morning harr lifted from the excellently presented West Lothian course in time to allow the Men's SATC third round robin match against Perth & Kinross to go ahead. However, as gloomy as it was overhead the gloom hung around the Lothians team and the three morning foursomes matches were all lost setting up P&K for a pathway to the SATC Finals being held in Elgin in September.

As the sun broke through for the afternoon singles matches, it obviously had a major effect on the Lothians players who came out energised and with fighting spirit. This led to them taking the singles 5 - 1 and pipping P&K 5 - 4 overall. With Glasgow beating Ayrshire in the other match in our group it will be Glasgow setting off for Elgin in September and we wish them well for the final stages.

This leaves Lothians pondering what might have been for another year.
