PROSPECTIVE ENTRANTS FOR THE 2025 LOTHIANS AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP AND SOUTH EAST DISTRICT

LOTHIANS AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP 

This is to make you aware that entry for this years competition being held at Duddingston on Sunday, 20 July 2025 is scheduled to open for entry on Wednesday, 5 March 2025 at 7.00pm.

The competition is for 81 entrants playing two qualifying rounds on the 20th July, with the top 16 players being eligible for the Match Play element on Tuesday, 22nd, Thursday 24th and Semi & Final taking place on Saturday, 26th July.

Entries for this competition are regularly over subscribed and should a ballot for places be required, this will be undertaken on Handicap on the day the draw is being made. The draw is likely to take place on Wednesday, 2 July 2025.

Should you be balloted out of the main draw, your name will be held on a waiting list and should a place be made available the list will be used in Handicap order to back fill any places. If you do not then receive a place in the tournament, your fee will be returned to you.

However, if when the draw is made and you withdraw after this is published, your entry fee will not be refunded to you.

The entry fee is £45.00 per player and includes soup and sandwiches being provided by the Association during your first and second round.

SOUTH EAST DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP

This competition is taking place at Mortonhall on Saturday, 30th August and Sunday, 31st August 2025 and entries for this will open on Wednesday, 5 March 2025 at 7.00pm.

The competition is for 81 entrants playing two qualifying rounds on the Saturday, with the top 40 and ties playing a further two rounds on the Sunday.

Entries for this competition are regularly over subscribed and should a ballot for places be required, this will be undertaken on Handicap on the day the draw is being made. The draw is likely to take place on Wednesday, 13 August 2025.

Should you be balloted out of the main draw, your name will be held on a waiting list and should a place be made available the list will be used in Handicap order to back fill any places. If you do not then receive a place in the tournament, your fee will be returned to you.
