Lothians Seniors Championships Entries 2025 Going Live
INFORMATION FOR ALL PROSPECTIVE ENTRANTS IN THE LOTHIANS SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP 2025 – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
This year’s tournament will take place at Uphall Golf Club on Monday, 7 July 2025 with the usual maximum entry of 129 based on first come first served. Should entries exceed the limit as has happened over the last few years, a waiting list will be in operation, where players on the list will be offered a tee time as they come available.
Entries for 2025 will open on Wednesday, 5th March 2025 at 7.00pm, this is a slight change as we normally open at 9.00am but some entrants mentioned that they were golfing at the time of online entry opening so an evening opening has been provided on this occasion to provide a measure of fairness to all.
Entries will only be taken through the online portal on our website, NO ENTRIES WILL BE OR CAN BE TAKEN BY EMAIL OR TELEPHONE this is due to the new booking functionality we are putting in place.
In 2025, a new booking system will be provided through block tee times. This will allow the player to select a pre-determined time within a block of times. E.g 7.30 – 8.20am
Tee time blocks will be provided in 12-15 player slots, following the closing date you will be allocated a tee time in that block, this will be confirmed to you at the time of the draw. Because we are now offering this process, we will no longer be able to take requests for specific times i.e. first in the block or before 9.00am etc
The draw will be made electronically, and we will not be able to influence this in any way. In my experience if you need a specific time area then book early.
Lastly, please be aware that payment for the entry is taken at the time of booking therefore please have your Debit/Credit card at the ready when booking. The system only gives you specific amount of time to complete your booking or it will automatically kick you out if no payment is received and therefore you will not be entered.

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ALL OTHER LOTHIANS COMPETITIONS
The Association are attempting to improve the entry process for a number of our Championship Competitions this has taken a little longer than was anticipated. As a result the competitions will go live on WEDNESDAY, 5th MARCH 2025 at 7.00pm
This will include new features for some of our competitions. For the Seniors Championship and the newly formatted Greensomes Competition you will be able to select a time zone in which to play. These will be in the form of time blocks so that when you enter you will be able to select a time zone.
For the Amateur Championship, Boys Championship and the South East District there are no time zones as these are done by an open draw.
The Association will be sending notification emails to all previous players and more detailed information will be provided in these.
Importantly, the Association will no longer be able to take entries by email, all entries MUST go through our online sign up portal. Payment is also taken at entry so please have your payment card ready for this, along side this you will require to provide your Date of Birth for the Senior Championship and also your CDH number and contact email address.
