7th March entry deadline for the first 3 Lothians Championships fast approaching (Update 5 March)

Entries for the above competitions close in two days time on the 7th March. These have to be submitted by club secretaries/managers who were sent all the details in November 2024 and a reminder recently. The numbers entered so far have been steady and are similar to those at the same time last year with 67 for the Men’s Champion of Champions and 70 for the Men’s Handicap Match Play from our 108 clubs and affiliates. The final totals last year were 72 and 70.

The Junior event now has 29 entries so far which is still disappointing given that this is now open to junior champions       and        junior medal winners. This represents 17 clubs only 5 of which have entered medal winners so very few have taken advantage of entering extra players for what is a junior handicap stroke play event at this initial stage. The top 4 scratch players go on to play a match play event in August.  If you did win a junior medal at your club in 2024 and would like to play at Dundas Parks on Sunday 30th March please let your club secretary know.
