Lothians Golf Association

3 Champions crowned at Muirfield

Muirfield was the venue for the semi final and final stages for three of the Association's most popular events and the players certainly enjoyed this unique experience, thanks to the hospitality of the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers. The first two events saw the conclusion of a season long event involving at least 6 rounds of match play. The Boys event, in it's new format, had involved a stroke play qualifier at Ravelston with the top 4 players progressing to the match play stages at Muirfield.

The winner of the Champion of Champions was Barry Lewis (West Lothian) after a closely fought match against Lee Morgan (Dunbar)

In the Handicap match Play John Watson (Broomieknowe) had an equally close match against Tom O'Brian (City Chambers)

James Wood (Bathgate) concluded his last season as a junior in great style beating David Li Ferguson (Prestonfield) having already won the Scottish Boys Championship and gain an cap for Scotland in the Boys & Girls Home Internationals.
