Connor Wilson and Oliver Mukherjee through to the semi final of the Scottish Amateur

Andrew Benson (West Lothian), Oliver Mukherjee (Gullane) and Connor Wilson (Castle Park) had successful mornings at Gailes Links today and progressed to the quarter finals in the afternoon. Further down the field Jamie Duguid (Dunbar) got eased out on the 18th green and Thomas Simmonds (Gullane) lost 2&1 in what has been a good campaign for both players. The afternoon games saw Andrew up against Oliver who got off to a great start over the first 9 holes in what ended as a good 4&3 win for the Gullane youngster. Andrew has however enhanced his growing reputation and will be back for more in the near future. Lothians Champion Connor Wilson maintained his good form with an outstanding 6&5 win and comes up against Oliver in the first semi final at 8am tomorrow. Great to have 2 Lothians players reach that stage with a guarantee also of a Lothians player in the final.
