Lothians New Website goes live
Welcome to the Lothians Golf Association new website.
In September 2018 the LGA took the decision to replace and upgrade its existing website and appointed a new website provider. A rigorous process was undertaken to find providers and during this process we also consulted with some of our member clubs to ensure that the most appropriate provider for the Association was found.
Following two excellent presentations in late 2018 the LGA appointed Intelligent Golf, to work in partnership in structuring a new website for the Association. In doing so this gave us the opportunity to work closely with them to design our own bespoke website.
Some of the features of the new site are detailed below;
- Content management system allowing us to update news and content quickly and easily on our site.
- The Intelligent Golf competition system which allows us to manage competitions for any of our events including various team formats including foursomes, greensomes, 4BBB and many more.
- Live leaderboard functionality for display in the clubhouse during our events
- Match management functionality, allowing county and inter-club tournaments to be run
- Support for online payment and entry to our Association competition events
- Payment options for competitions including PayPal and other providers which is currently under review.
- Photographic library (image galleries), mobile and tablet compatibility and Club Management functionality
Many of you will know Intelligent Golf, who provide services to a number of Clubs in the Lothians, but they are also used by about 14 of the county unions, societies and associations across the UK including; Cheshire, Surrey, Hampshire & Bedfordshire, Leicestershire & Rutland and Durham to name but a few.
The Lothians Golf Association are extremely delighted to be the first Area Association in Scotland to appoint Intelligent Golf.
However, Like all new systems we do envisage some hiccups along the way and if you notice anything, or have any comments about the layout or functions of the site, we would welcome feedback on this by contacting the Association Secretary on the email address at the foot of the page or using the contact us function..
We hope you enjoy the new system, this new website has been constructed with the user in mind and we hope that it improves the use of the site in the long term.
