Successful day at Seniors Championship for Millar

In what turned out to be difficult playing conditions for all players at Liberton GC for the Lothians Seniors Championships, it was success for Swanston Captain, Graeme Millar as both the Scratch winner with a Gross 69 (BIH) and the Handicap winner with a Nett 65.

Graeme was pushed all the way in both Competitions by Scott Walker (Gullane) and Lindsay Gordon (Turnhouse) who could not be separated in the scratch event as joint runners up and Lindsay pushing out Scott as runner up in the handicap event.

Graeme is seen here being presented with the Ian McNiven Quaich for the Handicap and the R.M. Lees Trophy for the Scratch by President, Jean Macnab.

We would like to thank everyone who turned up and played despite the difficult early morning conditions.

The Association would also like to record their extreme thanks to Joe Loffelman and his Greenkeeping team at Liberton GC, in providing us with a fantastic course despite the torrential rain at times during the day. It is a credit to them that the Association managed to get the competition completed.

See you all next year at Ratho Park.
