Development of the History of the Association

Those of you that have explored the Centenary & Association History on the website will have seen that this is being developed over the centenary year with relevant sections being added at appropriate times of the year. This week is the Amateur Championship at Nairn and also the Scottish Seniors Open Championship at Duff House Royal. These sections have now been added to the website. As you will see our last Amateur Champion was Robert Maxwell (Tantallon) as far back as 1909. There have been some near misses with the following players being runners up -  1926 Alex Simpson (Lothianburn), 1996 Ronnie Shade (Duddingston), 2005 John Gallagher (Swanston) and 2015 Grant Forrest (Craigielaw). John McLean (Bathgate) has been our only winner of the Scottish Seniors. The 4 Way Executive match involving Borders, Fife, Lothians & Stirlingshire this week saw Stirlingshire extend their winning ways at Torwoodlee.
