Binny Golf Club have played on Oatridge Golf Course since 2002.

Oatridge Golf Course was opened in 2000 by local golfing hero and former Ryder Cup captain Bernard Gallacher. It is set among gently rolling parkland by the village of Ecclesmachan, Broxburn and was formerly part of the estate of Binny House, an eighteenth century mansion.

The course was established by Oatridge College as an extension of their campus to allow green-keeping students to gain practical experience of working on a golf course while studying at the college.

Oatridge is a nine-hole course (par 35) which extends to 2793 yards and covers 54 acres. It has 2 very different sets of medal tees for each nine giving the feel of an 18 hole course. Its a great layout and has become very popular among beginners and experienced players alike and was once described as “the best nine-hole course in Scotland”.

Binny Golf Club was formed in 2002 and play on Oatridge Golf Course. The golf club is fully affiliated to Scottish Golf, Lothians Golf Association and Linlithgowshire Golf Association. The club has a particularly strong seniors section (over 50’s) and for the first time in their history in 2019 Binny Golf Club seniors won the Linlithgowshire Seniors Summer League. Arguably the smallest club in the county beating all of the bigger more established clubs.

Education of green-keeping students was moved to Elmwood College around 2015. With education no longer taking place on the course, in 2020 a deal was agreed for Binny Golf Club to take on the full operation of the course. This has gone well and the club is thriving in the new set up.
