Aims & Constitution

The Lothians Golf Association (LGA) is a combination of Golf Clubs within the Counties of Midlothian (including the County of the City of Edinburgh) East Lothian, West Lothian and, where appropriate, other clubs out-with these boundaries.

Aims & Objectives

They are one of 16 Men’s Areas and 15 Ladies Counties that, along with the clubs, make up the membership of Scottish Golf Limited (SGL) which is the governing authority for amateur golf in Scotland. The LGA works closely with their affiliated clubs and societies in representing their interests at SGL.

The other main objectives of the Association include:-
1. Delivering excellent, value for money championships and competitions.
2. Promotion of inter-area and inter-district matches.
3. Serving, supporting and promoting member clubs.
4. Providing a coaching programme for juniors.
