Lothians take narrow victory over Fife in Mens match

Lothians Men’s team won their latest County match against Fife 4 v 3 at Newbattle Golf Club on Sunday 28th July. The course stood up superbly to the all the rain at the weekend and both sets of players were complimentary to the course and especially the greens.

Turnhouse Junior Calum Robinson was making his debut for the Men’s team and made a very good account of himself even though he suffered a one hole defeat. In between some heavy rain showers Kenny Glen (Craigielaw), Gareth Pugh (Tantallon) and Craig Johnstone (Royal Musselburgh) won their respective Singles matches and the Brunstfield Links pairing of Ross Brydon and Andrew Fernie won the only Foursomes tie of this annual match.

The Association wish to thank Newbattle GC for courtesy of their very well presented course.
