On what has been a good couple of days for Lothians golfers in Ayrshire, the defending champion, Angus Carrick (Craigielaw) leads the 64 qualifiers for the match play stage of the Scottish Amateur Championship with a 7 under par score after 36 holes on Western Gailes and Glasgow Gailes. Not far behind is the new Lothians champion Connor Wilson (Castle Park) and Jamie Duguid (Dunbar) at 3 under par, with James Morgan (Longniddry) and Cameron Adam (Royal Burgess GS) at 2 under par. 14 Lothians players have made it to the match play stage from a squad of 47 players in the field of 264 golfers from all over Scotland and afar. We look forward to following their progress over the next few days. Play well.
