Centenary events Update

With just over a week to go before the Centenary Grand Final at Bruntsfield Links GS on Sunday 10th July we are working on the starting sheet but at the beginning of this week we were still short of the players names from 33 of the 66 committed clubs. They are being contacted by phone just now and we hope to be able to publish the starting list and send e-mails directly to the players by Monday 4th. 

Regarding the Lothians Championship there have been 74 entries so far so with a limit of 96 there a still a few spaces left before the closing date this Sunday, 3rd July. As some may have read and heard we are inviting all our surviving Past Champions to the final on the afternoon of Saturday 23rd July at Royal Burgess GS. 46 invitations have been sent and we are beginning to get responses for this Gathering of Champions. Understandably some will be on holiday or have other commitments but there will be a good turn out. Amazingly our most far flung past champion, Colin McCulloch (Baberton), is coming from South Africa. Looks like a good afternoon of recollections with a buffet meal  with the new champion at the end.
