Final
In a hard fought final match it was Connor Wilson that took a half way lead at one up with Angus Carrick close on his heels. Back to back wins at 13 & 14 seen Carrick fight back and going up the 18 he maintained his lead. As Wilson pushed to cut the lead to keep him in the Competition it was Carrick who showed the skils of the day and managed to win the last hole taking the Scottish crown by 2up.
Congratulations to both players for their achievements.
Semi Finals
It's been an excellent day for three Lothians players who have successfully reached the Semi Finals of the Scottish Amateur Championship being played over Murcar Links GC. In the first Semi Final it was Angus Carrick of Craigielaw who took on the young player Connor Graham of Blairgowrie who had to head to the 20th hole to reach the semi final, however, it was an extra hole win for Carrick over the young rising star, after a keenly contested match.
In the other Semi Final it was an all Lothian affair with Andrew Ni of Murrayfield taking on the 2020 Lothians Champion, Connor Wilson of Castle Park. The course provided its own difficulties as Wilson went ahead early on and he maintained his form to captilise and gain an excellent win 5&3.
